Vietnamese fuel traders on Friday increased retail gasoline prices by 5-7 percent, following the global upward trend.
The popular grade RON 92 is now sold at VND15,370 (69 US cents) per liter, up 4.6 percent.
E5, a greener alternative, went up 6.8 percent to VND15,220 (68 cents), while diesel rose by 2 percent to VND10,490 (47 cents) per liter.
The price of gasoline stood at $ 56.62 per barrel Thursday in Singapore, Vietnam’s major supplier, Nikkei Asian Review reported. The price has gone up 20 percent from the recent low in early August.
